Dreams of Winder

Saturday 29th March | Children’s Theatre | English | 16:00- 17:00 (60 mins) | Studio

During the Second World War, the majority of Europeans were victims of the conflict. Due to the continuous explosions across their countries, people were terrified of being killed, so they decided to send their children to faraway lands to ensure their safety. These children were sent to relatives, and many were also sent to churches located far away. Further still, some were sent to orphanages and wealthy homes with government involvement.

With the tragedy of the war, most of the children lost the ability to maintain contact with their parents and began their lives as orphans. “Winder House” was situated in a beautiful city named Sedbergh in England and belonged to a royal family. During the Second World War, with government involvement, “Winder House” also took in a number of orphans. It was ruled and controlled by a cruel mistress named Madam Molley. What would be the fate of the eight little children living in this lonely house? Can they Dream? This is the story of eight children seeking kindness and a dream that is missing from their lives.
